These awards were presented during the annual Foreign Investment Limited (FIN) philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference, held online across Africa. It should be noted that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also invited in this business conference as a honourable speaker and spoke about the significance of leadership in healthcare. Dr. Rajan Mahtani received the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021 award for contributions towards banking industry and redefining it. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is one of the most respected and regarded businessman in Zambia, known for his business as well as his philanthropic and charitable contributions. Some of the top business commitments of Dr. Rajan Mahtani include the Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. Mahtani Group was established in the year 1981 and quickly became one of the top companies in Zambia with presence across several industries in Zambia and Africa. The company expanded to industries such as agriculture, mining, insurance, energy, real estate and several others. Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s philanthropic and charitable contributions are as significant as his business contributions. Some of the top philanthropic commitments from Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been the Prison Fellowship Zambia which is currently chaired by Dr. Mahtani himself. Other major philanthropic achievement in the field of education has been Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
